End of Year Awards

7th grade is over and Ashton has done another year of straight A's. At her school, they give a medal for having straight A's, but the student has to have had straight A's for 6th and 7th grade. Way to go Ashton!! We are proud parents!
Ashton's goal is to get straight A's next year, too. Those students get trophies, but it is not about the trophy, it's about the accomplishment
Lots of her friends have also gotten straight A's - You might know these beautiful ladies!

Ashton's last cheer competition

Ashton is in the back of the line! I never thought she would be a cheerleader. I am very proud of her for being so well rounded. She can cheer, throw a ball, and get straight A's.

Ashton's cheer squad from Cram Middle school went to Knott's Berry Farm for a competition. They started bright and early Saturday morning after being at Disneyland the day before. It took them a little while to get going. They usually always take first place but they struggled a little with this but came through with flying colors in the afternoon.
This is their pom routine. They have 32 girls on the squad and they are all amazing. They practice everyday and have grown so much through out the year.

At the end of their routine, they always make a CMS with their pom poms.




The squad got all kinds of trophies for the different competitions. They ended up getting the big trophy for overall. The coaches are in the back on the sides. These ladies work so hard for the girls and bring them to the top level. Way to go CRAM!!!

Blake's 1st trip to Disneyland

We were so blessed to go to Disneyland in May! Blake had never been to Disneyland and has been begging us to go. Ashton was going to Knott's Berry Farm for a cheer competition so we took the opportunity to go and take the family. Our beautiful niece, Deanna, came with us. Our first ride was the Tea Cups. The boys and I had a blast. Allen can't go on because he gets motion sickness. Blake's eye were huge the entire time! He loved it!
The Toy Story ride was one I had never been on before. It was fun and the boys are still
talking about this ride.

Towards the end of the day, we went on the big paddle boat. Blake was getting tired and enjoyed watching the ducks in the water. Afterwards, we went on Splash Mountain, Pirates of Caribbean, and The Matterhorn. When Blake got off The Matterhorn he was so excited he raised his arms and put them down and said "Yes!" He is so cute. I was a proud mom, that my 4 year old was not afraid of the big roller coaster. I can remember the Matterhorn when I was little. I was scared to death and cried the whole time.

He is getting so big.

I am so glad he is in our family!
Disneyland was a blast and the family loved it. They keep asking to go back, but not anytime soon:) The next day we went to Ashton's cheer competition at Knott's Berry Farm.

A teenager!!

My beautiful girl turned 13 on April 16th. I can't believe she is a teenager. I am so proud of her! From the day she was born I have been a proud mother. I watch her in amazement at how strong she is in what she knows is right and how she helps me. The Lord blessed me giving me a daughter first. She is my bud and I am so glad she is in our family.
She is a diva! Hailey gave her these glasses and she was drawn to them instantly. Whenever we are out she wears them. It's funny on her first birthday she had a pair of sunglasses that she was just as proud to wear. It's awesome how they change so much as the years go by but somethings never change:)

These were the beautiful ladies that shared the day with Ashton. They went on a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood for odd things. I am amazed that my neighbors even opened the door to them. Everyone was very nice!!

Then we returned home for cake and presents. The girls were suppose to watch a movie next but decide to make prank phone calls. Sorry if you got one! It was funny. It reminded me of my teenage years and how much fun we had. I want those experiences for her. There is nothing like good friends who choose the right (most of the time). I very grateful she has that! I am very grateful for my teenager!!

blogging again - my suprise birthday party

I am so lucky to have such a great family!! In April I had my 40th birthday. My family surprised me with a party with all of my friends, kids and all. Debbie Bean, Ellen Adams, and Jennifer Czarnecki helped Allen and Ashton plan the whole thing. After laying around all day Allen sent me to the store for something. I was to lazy to change all the way so I threw on some jeans and left my dirty PJ top on - hair was a mess also. When I came home everyone was here. I died!! I had to run up stairs and change. Oh, and it was Sunday so everyone knows I broke the Sabbath - nice, huh?! Hee, Hee.

I had a blast and enjoyed every minute. It was great to watch all the kids running around having fun. It was a perfect day. Everyone I love was here and having fun. Thanks again Allen and Ashton and all of you that took the time to come celebrate with me!!

Me and my beautiful ladies - Deanna, my niece, and Ashton- I love these girls with all my heart and are very proud of the beautiful young ladies they are turning into. That's beautiful both inside and out.
These are Tim's children - Al's brother - Timmy, Deanna, and Amanda
This is Amanda's family. She is an amazing mother. I love to watch her with them and how she shows the children that she loves them so much. Another lucky baby is about to have her as their mother. Amanda you are doing a great job!!

The best part of the trip was to be with the family and see how much they have grown and the great things they are doing with their lives.

50th Wedding Anniversary

Allen's parents, Betty and Ray, have been married for 50 years! That is so amazing to me. I think it is wonderful.

After our t-ball pictures we loaded the car and headed to Rigdecrest, CA. to help them celebrate their feat. It was very nice to be able to share the day with them and to see the rest of the family!

We actually managed to get a family picture. It took great effort - Blake is giving us his :hurry up I'm done smile". The boys had a ball running around and playing with the other kids. Ashton spent her time following her favorite cousin, De, around.

Allen and I at 50 years of marriage. Do you think it will last? I do, who can resist this handsome man?! Hee, Hee. He is going to kill me but I couldn't resist. He makes me laugh with his goofiness and sarcasm. 50 years, Bring it on!

Allen gave a nice toast to his parents and said that he hoped his marriage would last for 50 years. Allen I have witnesses:) I have a great man and I am glad that we have made it this far. His parents have laid a good path to follow! Thank you:)
